Bangladesh Announce Squad for UAE ODI Tri-Series 2026
Bangladesh have announced their squad for the upcoming ODI tri-series in the United Arab Emirates, with Litton Das set to lead the team. The tournament will begin on 17 October 2026 and feature Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Zimbabwe.
The three teams will face each other once in the round-robin stage before the final takes place on 23 October in Abu Dhabi.
Litton Das to Lead Bangladesh
Litton Das, who was appointed Bangladesh's ODI captain earlier this year with the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2027 in mind, will lead the side in the UAE tri-series. Towhid Hridoy has been named vice-captain.
Experienced all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz is included in the squad, alongside fast bowler Hasan Mahmud, who played a key role in Bangladesh's historic Test victory over Australia in Darwin.
One of the notable selections is off-spinner Aliss Al Islam, who has earned his maiden ODI call-up. He previously made his T20I debut against Sri Lanka during the Asian Games.
Meanwhile, fast bowler Nahid Rana has been left out as he continues to recover from a side strain.

Bangladesh Aim for a Strong Performance
The UAE tri-series will provide Bangladesh with an opportunity to assess their squad and build momentum ahead of future ODI assignments. With Litton Das leading a mix of experienced campaigners and emerging players, the Tigers will aim to perform consistently throughout the tournament.
The inclusion of Aliss Al Islam adds another option to Bangladesh's bowling attack, while the experience of Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Taskin Ahmed and Mustafizur Rahman could prove valuable.
Cricket fans can look forward to an exciting contest among Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Zimbabwe as the teams compete for a place in the final.
